GraceCast Episode 2: The Roots of Racism in the Healthcare System

When she was twelve years old, Camryn Dixon ‘21 stumbled upon a book called “Medical Apartheid” by Harriet A. Washington which completely changed the way in which she was passionate about medicine. The book tells the tales of the countless African Americans that were experimented on against their will to produce crucial medical advancements and who still fail to be recognized by the medical community today. Camryn has recently been published in Teen Vogue for her article on this issue, and in this episode, she expresses the effect she hopes her article has on the Grace community and beyond.
