March Student Government Update
Over the past month, the Student Government has been discussing many issues and ideas to improve student life. We have discussed outdoor seating for lunch during warm weather and a sweatpants day on the last day of every quarter, which we have also spoken to the deans about. 11th Grade Representative Katy Arons and 10th Grade Representative James Danziger have proposed a Student Activities Committee, which would plan events such as Homecoming, and possibly more school dances throughout the year. Henry Pallesen, the other 10th Grade Representative, has been working on proposing and planning a speech contest. We also discussed plans to improve the Senior Commons and ideas on how to shorten the lunch line. Finally, we are currently working on a diversity statement written by students, which will be released by the Student Government soon.
