Aside from drastically smaller classes for juniors and quieter halls throughout the day, the school is missing a unique ambience that only the Class of 2018 could give. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Individual students have mixed feelings about the seniors\u2019 departure. While some students with close friends in the graduated class already miss seeing their friends in the hallways, others are enjoying the smaller feeling of the school. I asked Malcolm Gibson \u201819 if he misses seeing the seniors in the halls, and he admitted that he misses \u201cthe energy that they brought to the school.\u201d He also explained, \u201cIt feels kind of lonely here without them, especially on the third floor\u201d. Christina Oxley \u201819 also said that she \u201creally misses a lot about them, like their energy, their presence, and their liveliness\u201d, and that she hopes \u201cthey are enjoying their lives post GCS.\u201d Stephanie Cox \u201819 also said that she knows \u201cthey will go on to do great things.\u201d Sophomore Julia Kramberg \u201820 admitted that she, too, \u201cmisses her friends\u201d and that \u201cthe school is a little <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">too<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> quiet without them\u201d. Freshman Julia Williams also said that she \u201cmisses their presence\u201d and that \u201cthe school feels weirdly smaller.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other juniors are already seeing themselves as seniors and are ready to take on their last year at Grace. Luke Morris \u201819 said that he misses \u201csome parts of having them here, but [that he\u2019s] really excited to be a senior.\u201d He explained that the juniors are \u201cready to be the leaders of the school\u201d and said that the Class of 2019 is \u201cthe last of the classes that made up the original high school.\u201d An anonymous freshman said that he \u201cdoesn\u2019t really\u201d miss the seniors, and that he\u2019s \u201cnot particularly excited to be a sophomore because not much will change.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the end, although we will miss the Class of 2018, each grade is excited to move up, and the current juniors are excited to take on their new role as the rising senior class! <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been just over a week since the seniors\u2019 last day, and the school already feels different.
