Why?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thor Ragnarok was released on November 3rd and is the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which all its movies exits. Ragnarok has already grossed <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boxofficemojo.com\/movies\/?id=marvel2017.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">836 <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">million dollars in gross global sales and has been widely loved by critics, boasting a 92% on rotten tomatoes with over 300 critics\u2019 reviews and currently resting at number <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/top\/bestofrt\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">79<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Rotten Tomatoes all time best movies list. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thor is a fun entertaining action comedy. Thor Ragnarok is adapted from the Planet Hulk and God of Thunder comics and follows Thor and his brother Loki on a journey to defeat Hela, the goddess of death. The movie lands all its jokes and was described as \u201chilarious\u201d by Ava Pingree \u201819. Additionally, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nerdist.com\/how-thor-ragnarok-changes-the-mcu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nerdist<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> described it as \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">light, buoyant, colorful and downright hilarious\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Emergency <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-TyT9RwmFDk\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Awesome<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a YouTube channel dedicated to TV and movie reviews, reported that the first two Thor movies followed the classic comic book styling of \u201cshakespeare in space\u201d mixed with Nordic mythology. However the third entry into the franchise follows a self-aware comedic route in the same vein as Deadpool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thor also marked a change in the \u00a0MCU. After the first two Thor movies, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/2017\/11\/thor-ragnarok-chris-hemsworth-mark-ruffalo-interview-best-thor-movie\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joanna Robinson<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported that Chris Hemsworth told Kevin Feige, the CEO of Marvel Studios, \u201cI feel like I\u2019m dying here. I feel like I am in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/2017\/11\/thor-ragnarok-chris-hemsworth-mark-ruffalo-interview-best-thor-movie\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">handcuffs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. Although playing Thor transformed an \u201cAustralian TV actor to a worldwide household name,\u201d Hemsworth had become \u201cbored and frustrated\u201d with the bruting character \u00a0Thor had become. Additionally, the second Thor film, Thor: The Dark World, which was panned by critics and was one of Marvel\u2019s least financially successful films. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, late 2016 and early 2017 were some of Marvel\u2019s worst quarters financially. Both the Doctor <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boxofficemojo.com\/movies\/?id=marvel716.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strange<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the sequel in the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boxofficemojo.com\/movies\/?id=marvel17a.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guardians of the Galaxy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> trilogy attacked by critics. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/critic\/david-nusair\/\">David Nusair<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one of Rotten Tomatoes \u201ctop critics\u201d stated that Doctor Strange was \u201cQuite possibly the worst of the Marvel movies\u201d and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/critic\/anthony-lane\/movies\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anthony Lane<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, also one of Rotten Tomatoes \u201ctops critics\u201d said that the Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 was the \u201cmost expensive group-therapy session in the universe\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Consequently, Fiege knew that it was time for a change to the franchise, so he hired Australian \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/culture\/2017\/11\/4\/16570486\/taika-waititi-eagle-shark-boy-shadows-wilderpeople-ragnarok\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">goofy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d director Tiko Watiti to direct Ragnarok. Feige&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemablend.com\/new\/Thor-Ragnarok-Director-Explains-Why-Marvel-Needs-Keep-Gambling-Weird-Filmmakers-132357.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gamble<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has paid off in dividends. Not only was the film a financial success, but it was also loved by fans. Ellen Jorgensen \u201819 said that \u201cMarvel movies had been declining in quality,\u201d but enjoyed how Ragnorok \u201cmade fun of itself, which\u201d she said \u201cbrought life back to the franchise.\u201d The success of Thor Ragnarok could possibly make Feige more confident in his decisions to take risks in the future. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thor Ragnarok Stunned students and silence critics.
